Create OpenBook Market ID
If you’ve been searching for a way to set up a low-cost OpenBook Market ID, you’re in the right place.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to create a Market ID in just a few clicks using OpenBook v2,
with a cost of only 0.2 SOL.
Let’s get started!
Table of Contents
Step 1: Visit the OpenBook Market Creation Page
Go to: https://www.getopenbook.space
Fill in the following details:
- Base Mint: Your token’s mint address.
- Quote Mint: The token you want to pair with. Common options:SOL: So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112
USDC: EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v
USDT: Es9vMFrzaCERmJfrF4H2FYD4KCoNkY11McCe8BenwNYB
Step 2: Configure Your Market Settings
Two important parameters you need to set are:
1. Minimum Order Size
Defines the smallest trade size that can be placed on the order book.
– 4 → 0.0001 unit
– 0 → 1 unit
– 1 → 0.1 unit
2. Price Tick Size
Controls the number of decimal places used for price display.
– 5 → 11.12345
– 4 → 11.1234
– The minimum order size cannot exceed the base token’s decimals.
– The price tick size cannot exceed the quote token’s decimals.
– (Minimum order size + Price tick size) must not exceed the quote token’s decimals.
✔ Correct: Min order = 3, Tick size = 2 → total = 5 (less than 6)
✘ Incorrect: Min order = 4, Tick size = 4 → total = 8 (too high)
Step 3: Add Liquidity on Raydium
Once your Market ID is ready, the next step is to provide liquidity so your token can be traded.
- Go to: Raydium Liquidity Creation
- Paste your Market ID and click Continue.
- Set your token’s initial price and liquidity amount.
Estimated Cost: About 0.65 SOL
Make sure to have your tokenomics strategy ready before this step,
since it determines how your market will launch.
Final Thoughts
Creating an OpenBook Market ID is simpler and more affordable than it seems.
For less than 1 SOL total, you can launch your token with a live order book and
